about

This song was wrote in 1996/97 while I was in high school. As you can see we have been singing about the dangers of unchecked capitalism and greed since high school. The only lyrics I had to change was the value of Bill Gates net worth. It was 10 billion when this song was initially wrote and it is over 100 billion now. I know he has done a great job of running ad campaigns hiding the fact he is a filthy billionaire, but he can hide the fact his vast fortune has grown 10 fold in the time that has lapsed since we wrote this song.

lyrics

The world corporation
Turns a blind eye to starvation
With your gourmet food
I bet you think my Chef Boyardee is lewd
Lewd? Fuck you, you’re rude
Some starving child needs your food
You’re already worth billions of dollars
Bu you know you must have more
You say you give
But no one cares
What is a charity of a million
To a bank account with over 100 billion?

A friend in need is a friend indeed
Well you’ve got some friend in need but you watch them bleed
What? Are they too poor?
I guess they’re not your friends anymore
An ex-friend indeed.
